The Ontario Law Reform Commission was established by section 1 of The Ontario Law Reform Commission Act to further the reform of the law, legal procedures and legal institutions. The Commissioners are: Derek Mendes da Costa, q.c, ll.b., ll.m., s.j.d., Chairman Honourable George A. Gale, c.c, q.c, ll.d. Honourable Richard A. Bell, p.c, q.c. W. Gibson Gray, q.c. Honourable James C. McRuer, o.c., ll.d., d.c.l. William R. Poole, q.c. M. Patricia Richardson, M.A., LL.B., is Counsel to the Commission. The Secretary of the Commission is Miss A. F. Chute, and its offices are located on the Sixteenth Floor at 1 8 King Street East, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
